FAQ

Security & trust, explained

Absolutely not. TradeAudit uses the MT5 Investor Password, which is a special read-only credential built into MetaTrader 5. Unlike the master password, the investor password can only view account history and open positions. It cannot place orders, modify trades, withdraw funds, or change account settings. This is a technical limitation enforced by MetaQuotes' own protocol — we cannot bypass it even if we wanted to.
Revoking access is instant and requires no support ticket. Simply change your MT5 investor password in the terminal: File → Account → Change Password → Change Investor Password. Set a new password and the old one (including the one you gave us) becomes invalid immediately. That's it — access is severed in seconds.
NBBO stands for National Best Bid and Offer — the highest bid and lowest ask available across all major liquidity venues at any given microsecond. TradeAudit aggregates NBBO from 14 tier-1 institutional venues (including ECNs, dark pools, and prime brokers) to create a ground-truth benchmark. We then compare your MT5 fill price against the NBBO at the exact timestamp of execution to determine whether you received fair pricing.
No. When you connect via the investor password, TradeAudit simply reads your trade history — it's the same as viewing your account from a second MT5 terminal. Your broker has no way of knowing that TradeAudit initiated the connection. The audit is completely private and discreet.
